Here's some pics of my latest units - all of which are conversions to one degree or another. Carthaginian War Elephants (Schleich & HaT), Libyan Skirmishers and Numidian Skirmishers. The light troops started out as Armies in Plastic Beja before they entered a world of tiddlywink shields, greenstuff and various body part transplants. (nb - The green tabletop the photos were taken against is one of the Aldi garden mats referenced in other posts.)

Very nice Rupert. A lovely job made of the figures. I've just bought some Schliech elephants to go with my Ex-Force Ancient Persians as they're quite big and should fit in with the scale ok (I Can't wait a year or so til Ex-Force produce their own). I have a mate who's a sculptor and he's going to make some howdahs for me so I can put some troops inside.
Hope you'll post more photos of your figures.
Best Wishes Dave

Thanks Dave. Your elephant project sounds interesting and I look forward to seeing the end result. I think the Schleich elephant range offers pretty good options for 1/32 ancients and they can also be picked up at pretty good prices on ebay. I'll post more Carthaginian pics here as my army is assembled over time. nb - I posted more photos of this particular batch of figures on my my facebook page and on My blog

Excellent work. There is something about elephants, isn't there! Love them, and I love what you've done with the AIP Fuzzies!

Thanks for sharing your photos here. The elephants look like they mean business. The Aldi grass mat works really well with them too.
