Hi,
I wonder if a you can help please.
I've bought 4 toy camels (Bactrian with 2 humps) so I can have a unit for my Persian army facing Alexander. I bought Bactrian because they're slightly bigger (Ex-Force figures are 60mm) and I feel the Persian Empire extended far enough East to allow these more oriental camels to be used.
I've seen some lovely figures of Persian war camels, and these have a howdah on them with 1/2 figures inside.
My question is, would I be able to use this for the Persian army that faced Alexander, or were they earlier/later than this period. Or, just because it looks good, does it matter?!!!!
Thanks. Best Wishes Dave

Don’t overthink it Dave. Go with what feels and looks right to you. And don’t forget to post photos of whatever you end up with!

Thanks, I will. I suppose I just needed a prod. They certainly look good on Google so will go ahead with it.
My mate's doing the elephants first for Me, so it may be later in the year before I get round to them, but they'll look great on the table.
I'll certainly post photos.
Thanks.
Best Wishes Dave

The camels sound awesome and l really look forward to seeing how they turn out. I am glad the little prod encouraged you to proceed with them.
