I am currently painting Napoleonic units for Anthony so thought I'd show each unit here as it is finished. First up, the British Line Infantry 30th Regiment... Uses a modified flag pole for the ensigns so I could use paper flags from Maverick Models...

I picked these chaps up today. Very pleased with the figures! I decided to change over to Mike's figures for my Napoleonics as they are true 54mm and therefore small enough to fit inside the Really Useful Box compartmented trays I use.

Lovely figures Anthony and nicely painted Mike. I love the Napoleonic period (I have 54mm, 28mm, 6mm and soon to have the new WoFun Games figures in 18mm!!!!!!).
My Victrix and Expeditionary Force 54mm figures are coming along but may be a bit large compared to your figures Anthony, but maybe we could have a Napoleonic game using our figures some time?
Are you using the Neil Thomas rules? My mate and I are using and enjoying Over The Hills rules at the moment, and they've just brought out Version 2. They're produced by Stand to games.
Good luck with the collection Anthony and hope you'll post more photos.
Best Wishes Dave

Hi Dave,
Currently we use Neil Thomas rules which I have really come to appreciate. We are also considering using CC:Napoleonics using 5 or 6 inch hexes. I would have no problem using my slightly smaller 54mm Napoleonic army with your larger figures-as long each army is consistent in the size of figures used then visually I think the game will still look good. Here's to our first Napoleonic game! (Naturally I'll go the good guys and you can be the French.)
Best wishes Anthony

I look forward to that, but I also have British troops as well!!! Just so you know, I have 4 British line and 2 light units, 1 RHA and 1 foot artillery unit.
For the French I have 2 line units,1 converged Grenadier battalion and a Voltigeur unit plus 1 heavy foot artillery unit. For French cavalry I have 1 Dragoons, 1 Cuirassier and 1 Lancers unit.
The difference will be in my organization 8 figures for a footbunit and 4 figures for a cavalry u it.
Happy collecting
Best Wishes Dave

Well I suppose that I will have to collect some French units as well! Are your British Peninsular or Waterloo period?
Best wishes Anthony

My figures are Peninsular - although Ex-Force haven't done any Peninsular figures yet (I think they intend yo do some later).
The Victrix are definitely Peninsular, with the habit-longue for the French and stovepipe for the British.
But they aren't doing any more, so I'm relying on Ex-Force. Their figures are later, but that doesn't seem to matter as new uniforms didn't always get through, so old was worn alongside new, so I can use the later cavalry from Ex-Force. So my cavalry will be a mix of periods.
I think They're doing later Spanish and some Bavarians as well.
Best Wishes Dave
