I just read the interview with Mike Lewis in Toy Soldier Collector Magazine. It mentions that Mike would like to add some large pieces to the All the Queen's Men line, including a Nile riverboat and a BOER WAR ARMOURED TRAIN!!!!! Please move this up in the queue. I am nearly 65 years old and I would love to have an armoured train for my Boer War collection before I die. I am currently attempting to scratch build one on top of an old non-working Christmas train model, but I fear it's beyond my capabilities. I'd much rather buy one. I am sure you are aware of the Gainsborough model attached. Perhaps Mike can resurrect the design. Or perhaps he can raise the funds through crowd funding. I know I'd be good for one order!

View AttachmentI have started working on this with some sketches and thoughts. I am waiting for a laser cutter to arrive in May so I can cut the flat surfaces of larger kits for mastering and final products. I haven't seen the Gainsborough one in person but GICOP, who's photo you show, lives in Woking quite near me and I am planning to go and have a look at the original for inspiration! I am trying to work out correct scaling so that people with larger figures can use it as well as collectors of the smaller figures such as AQM... I have just finished a water cart for the Boer War (3d printing the parts for the master) and am moving on to designing the wheel assemblies for the train next. Mike

That looks great. Would it work in the Sudan I wonder?
