I'm looking for the following 54mm Tehnolog HARD PLASTIC figures
Samurai
Zaporozhye Cossacks
Peter the Great
Polish Hussars
Does anyone here have these figures for sale or trade?

FWIW All are available from eBay and mostly very cheaply (tho the cheapest are the soft plastic). I have dealt with a number of Russian dealers and they have all been reliable.

Currently none of those figures are available in hard plastic on ebay, I have purchased something like 500 of them over the past two years from Russian dealers-mainly chief-fly and u1Rick.

Really, oops! Like you, I have bought hundreds over the past few years, and still get a newsflash from the sellers, but clearly I am not studying them as closely as I should as to what they are actually listing!
What sort of numbers are you after? I can take a look to see if I can spare some, by all means. And soft ones are definitely no good?, which many of mine are, as they are cheaper.

Chief-fly has been promising 10 packs(50 figures) of the hard plastic "Peter the Great" figures for several months now but nothing yet. I've recently purchased 4 packs (20 figures) of the hard plastic "Peter the Great" figures from u1Rick which were all that he had. Over the past two years I've only been able to purchase something like 250 of the hard plastic "Peter the Great" figures. So far I've only been able to purchase 1 pack (5 figures) of the Zaporozhye Cossacks. I only want the hard plastic figures because of the extensive conversions that I do with the figures - including turning some into mounted and dismounted cavalry figures. I just haven't figured out how to convert soft plastic figures like I can the hard plastic. Plus I've always had a hard time getting paint to stick to the soft plastic. I'm always looking to add to my "Peter the Great" collection because I use those figures for GNW, Scania War and early colonial America. I could use probably 20-30 of the hard plastic Samurai figures (I have 5 soft plastic Samurai I'd like to get rid of), probably at least 35 of the Zaporozhye Cossack figures (I have 35 soft plastic Cossacks I'd like to get rid of) and 15 of the Polish figures. Thanks Mike for taking the time to reply!

OK, I'll see what I have - it wont be that many but every little as the say. I feel much the same hard vs soft, but a good friend and ace converter, Les White, is the complete reverse, only likes the soft plastic because he considers it 'easier to work with' - Go figure!

Can I ask for ideas on how people are baseing Tehnolog figures? Because they are quite chunky they look a bit squat to me, also they tend to stand with legs spread wide apart so I mount them on poker chips, which are wide enough for the legs and fairly thick to raise their height a bit. This is fine for Barbarians or Samurai that fight individually but doesn't look right with Peter the Great figures when in line, anyone have any thoughts on this?

I mount all my Tehnolog figures on plastic 40 thousands sheet card. My gladiator, Mongol, Hun and samurai figures are mounted on hexagon bases because I use a hex game board. My Viking, Indian, pirate and Cossack figures are mounted on oblong bases similar to the 1/32 Airfix multipose figure bases (only bigger). I use this shape because I want them to fit on ships or canoes. I originally had my Peter the Great figures mounted on 1 1/2 inch square bases but have since remounted them on 1 3/4 inch round bases. I've made 4" x 6" square movement trays that are also made from plastic sheet card with six 1 3/4" round cutouts. I use these movement trays when the figures are in formation. When I convert the Tehnolog figures to mounted figures I use 60 thousands plastic sheet card bases, either hexagon or round shapes. When I get back home I will try to post some pictures.
