Love those Starwars figures. I have too many in 28mm but if I did not, I would have picked up a bunch of these.

A very good idea to have a site such as this and hope it continues to grow. All the best to everyone. Eric Helmet Soldiers

45thdiv,
I also have a load of these 54mm Star Wars figurs, I just don't have a decent set of rules for them!
Cheers Anthony

Hello. I've just randomly posted in the Renaissance/ECW area, but then realised it might be polite to say hello here. Like most fellows here I should think, I started out with Airfix and Atlantic 1/72, but then was completely hooked by Dungeons and Dragons and fantasy wargaming in the late 1970's. I have a large collection of 25mm figures in different periods, but over the last few years have discovered the joys of 54mm. I've pretty much finished an ECW project and am starting a Marlburian phase. I also want to do Dettingen, Waterloo , Little Round Top, and Dybbol, but might run out of room. I'm looking forward to joining in with the discussions here. cheers Mike

Mike,
Welcome!
Whose figures will you use for your 54mm Marlburians?
Cheers Anthony

Anthony, hi. So far I've used Replicants 1745 British which are ok as they don't have the turnbacks on the coats. Then I hope to use Irregular I expect.
cheers Mike

Thanks Mike. I hadn't thought of Replicants Culloden British-good point about the lack of turnbacks. Irregular Miniatures as I'm sure you know have a very good range of 54mm metal and their Marlburians do look good.
Best wishes Anthony

Hey all finally made to these boards. Used to be on the yahoo group very infrequently. I'm not much of a gamer anymore but still collect and convert. 54mm is my favourite scale so thanks very much for setting up this board

Mike ummm the periods that don't actually exist I've got a smallish collection of 54mm Star Wars (although you'd be surprised at the amount of figures there are out there) and I've just start collecting 54mm fantasy with a view to playing something with my kids. There's a ton of fantasy based figures available and plenty of proxies. I've had a lot of fun searching them out online I'll post a list sometime cheers!

Hello My name is Bradley Dunlap. I have played a lot of wargames over the years. I have recently gotten the 54mm bug. I love painting the figures. Currently working on Franco Prussian war plastics for use with A gentlemans war ( need to pick this up still ), Big Wars and the Portable wargame. I recently found Imperial miniatures and am simply in love with them. With Christmas around the corner as well as my birthday I am currently in negotiations with the Minister of Finances in order to begin collecting them!
I have never been exposed to 54mm wargaming ever before. I found out about it by doing a search for nostalgia looking for HG Wells Little wars. I really enjoy gaming for the fun of it. So bigger figures with simpler rules is something I am looking for. Plus it will be easy to get my buddies on board once I can put on some games for them.
