Hi Alan
Alexander's Toy Soldiers do a Boyne range in painted metal and Irregular Miniatures do a Restoration range (too early for James II I think) but I can't think of any plastic ranges sadly...
Cheers Anthony

Nick at Alexander's will also supply castings. I think also Prince August do some castings for the battle of the boyne.

A little early, but A Call to Arms makes some ECW troops in 54mm that you may be able to convert...

Thanks for your swift and thought provoking replies. I am most taken with the Alexanders figures, they are a joy to behold. Interesting that he supplies castings too. I will have to examine the contents of the war chest and see how to proceed. Getting John Childs books many years ago has left me with an interest in the period. I cut the heads of Minifigs and replaced them with Ancient Greek floppy replacement heads though the figures have long since gone. There is a lovely 54mm figure of James11 in armour from the Royal Armouries l have seen on eBay.

I am a bit hazy about quite what these would look like but Tehnelog do a set of figures in the long 17th C coat which might work. To echo ADNJ, ACTA ECW are worth a look if you need the '12 apostles' - I made some early RMs out of some by extending the cat with greenstuff.

If you check my old blog: helmetsoldiers.blogspot.com/ and find the post uploaded on 23 March 2009, you can see some conversions that might help. 2009, what a long time ago! Hope this helps

These are splendid conversions. I enjoyed looking at your other posts and great figures. I fear that l know my limitations and could not even begin to think how you did these.
