Hi,
Just to let you know that there will be a 54mm game at this show on Sunday.
It will be a small 54mm ECW game (6 foot, 2 horse and 1 artillery piece on each side) using my figures and the For King and Parliament grid based rules written by Simon Miller and Andrew Brentnall ( of To the Strongest fame).
It's a made up scenario (loosely based on The Mysterious case at Styles by AGATHA CHRISTIE as only Andrew could come up with. His previous scenarios were based on an action in Ambridge, so The Archers connection!!!!!!!!!).
The day before, Saturday 17th, were putting the game on at the Letsxscape Together Boardgame and Event Cafe in Newark, Unit 11 in the Newark Buttermarket Shopping Centre in Middle Gate - about 10.30 til 3.30.
Will try to get some photos and post them.
Please make yourselves known to me if you're able to attend -
Best Wishes Dave Lycett

Had a great weekend in Newark and at Partizan, and it was good to meet Stu from the forum. Thanks for introducing yourself Stu, and I hope your game went well. On the Saturday we played in Newark town centre at the Letsxcape Together Board game and Event Cafe. We used Simon Miller and Andrew Brentnall's For King and Parliament rules and both of them were there, which was great. On the Sunday, we were at the Partizan show and as well as the 54mm ECW game, Simon put on a 28mm game of Boudica's last battle at Mancetter. The use of 54mm figures caused quite an interest - people never having seen a game in 54mm before and comments on how great it looked in this scale was good to hear. Here are some photos of the game. Best Wishes Dave

Hi Dave, Yes it was a pleasure not only to be able to put a face to a name but also to see a most splendid game in, as some would say, The True Scale Here are a few pics I grabbed before our game started.

Hats off to you on this project. Nice presentation and exceptional painting all around. Hmmm, maybe I shouldn't do Napoleonics as the next project after all. I'm kind of inspired by these pics.
