I noticed these on the MASTER BOX website and thought these sets might be useful for those of you that want to add female characters to your games. Converting figures into reasonable looking female types is more difficult than changing poses of males, so these might work as a good basis of many different types of conversions.
These sets depict a Post Apocalypse 'Mad Max' era female gang 'the Skull Clan' , so far 4 sets have been produced of 1/35th scale women with guns/weapons. I suppose they are a little underdressed for anything but the heat of the dessert This will work to our advantage as it is nor too difficult to add a outfit/uniform. Since these are plastic kits it would be entirely practical to change out the weapons for SW ones instead of the modern type supplied.
The third set has just come out and here are the poses including a male prisoner.
The second set is the weakest depicting a BMW sidecar unit running down a male looter, you don't get the motorcycle in the kit. Only three figures two female crew and the man running with some stolen food.
The way the figures are designed I would think it quite practical to swap pieces to create even more poses as the scale seems consistent.

There is a fourth set that is due out. With gangers fighting each other.
This set has 5 figures in hand to hand combat, The usual detail of anatomy but no guns this time.

Thanks Les. Have you seen the actual? My experience with MB is that they really are exquisitely detailed but true 1/35th ie very 'fine/slight'. They sometimes send me samples for review - I'll ask them about these so we can see what they are really like. Love the concept.

Mike, I haven't seen the figures 'in the flesh' but judging from the Military figures from this company I would agree that they are very fine detail but no smaller than other 1/35th types by Dragon, Tamiya, etc. Since these are female figures and looking at MB Military sets with female figures I'd say they will be about 50mm tall for the most upright pose, this seems in keeping with many of the 'Army men' figures and the SciFi types already out there, so there should be a compatibility.

I am assuming the Warhansa Machete Gang has already been flagged up here on LWR somewhere? If not, it would make the great basis of a PA gane - as would a couple of the Tehnolog sets.

Here is a link to a website that reviews new model kits which has a detailed look at the first Skull Clan set. It shows close up pics of the actual figures and shows that some infilling has to be done, no more than most figures in the is scale however. www.themodellingnews.com/2015/11/construction-review-masterbox-35th.htmlIt states that the sculpting is improving, especially the female faces. This company does not do male PA survivors except for those being chased and caught by the Skull Clan. However there are many companies doing male PA types in 1/35th scale but resin kits and metal castings and not in plastic. If you want to do PA in plastic then Technolog would be the most reasonable starting point as the figures are easy to find and quite cheap too! They already have INSURGENTS and AMAZONS but plenty of others too and they are pretty easy to convert.
