I am currently really enjoying “Carnival Row” on Amazon Prime. I wondered if others were watching, what they thought of it and if they had suggestions for 54mm steampunk style figures?

PLEASE CEASE AND DESIST WITH THIS THREAD! CONTINUATION WILL ONLY LEAD TO MUCH PAIN AND SORROW!!
Please, please, I do not need sending off in another direction...we play the boardgame Rise of Moloch, which has 25mm plastic figures which are superb - and crying out to be remade in 54mm. But no, no, no!

Mike We as wargamers NEED new periods to start, it's in our DNA...…..after today I'm thinking of Mexican Revolution, I wonder why!!!! After doing a quick Google Images search, Looks like Expeditionary Force War of 1812 US Militia may be a good starting point as with their top hats and tails clothing, they look pretty close to Victorian civilians for converting into Steampunk plus Lemax Christmas figures may offer a few possibilities with being of the "Dickens" period. www.expeditionaryforce.com.sg/Catalogue/54-AMR-01-American-Militia-in-Civilian-Dress-p-277.htmlAlso for possible conversion material, maybe the Replicants 6 Youth set may be useful along with their Set 4: 2 different bar tenders, 2 different Saloon Girls, all depends how much conversion work you'd be prepared to do. plasticsoldiers.co.uk/index.php/manufacturer/replicants/Of course searching Wild West figure ranges may offer up further useful figures, just a few thoughts from someone who knows next to nothing about Steampunk Stu

Also, just about any pith-helmeted infantry will do for steampunk soldiers, including from AIP, ACTA, X-Force, etc. The AIP Prussians are especially useful as baddies, and the Steve Weston WW1 British "Tadpole" tank has lots of conversion potential for steampunk vehicles.
Plus Playmobile boats can be turned into airships with some imagination:
