Subject says it all. Ned Kelly and the gang would be an interesting twist on the standard Wild West shootout game. I believe the constables, at least some of them, wore mufti, so no need for special figures for them.

Its bad when you end up answering your own posts! I'm having bb problems and couldn't post sooner: that there is one, in metal though, available on the internet from various sellers on evilBay for example...
That said, a pal converted one from a Timpoy/Airfix cowboy with plasiticene and nail varnish - even easier now with greenstuff.

It would be simpler to do a conversion and save yourself some money. I've seen a conversion done using the Britains Deetail Cowboys and Knights, I was looking for a pic to show you but haven't come across it yet so knocked this photo up to illustrate the point. Using the two gun bandit poses wearing the duster coat from this set.  And the helmet head from this knight pose. The wings on the helmet tend to be broken off of second hand versions of the figure. Any knight with a bucket style helmet will work providing the scale is correct. So an old damaged TIMPO swoppet torso would be fine.  You get this reason facsimile of Ned Kelly. You could fill in the front of the waist coat to make it look more like body armour underneath the coat and a re-paint probably wouldn't hurt.  Sorry the image is so small I was just pulling what ever image I could find on the internet to work on. I think you get the idea. |
