They don't look bad - at least the sword armed ones aren't waving their swords above their heads...

So Conte are 54mm? On the website (found via their FB page) they appear to be selling expensive pre-painted sets? But now they are getting into unpainted plastic? Is that the case?

Conte has been making plastic figures and playsets since the turn of the century. He has dreleased nothing new in the last ten years. He appears to be returning to plastic, apparently encouraged by the higher prices that the newer manufacturers are able to sell sets for.

They look splendid Romans to me too. My regular wargamers opponent ( currently regular Zoom) says you either really like ancient Romans or Ancient Greeks but not both. Kind of agree with him. I’m a Roman fan , Astrrix, Ladybird booksvand boyhood trips saw to that a!

Are they better than the Expeditionary Force figures?

Are they better than the Expeditionary Force figures? That is a pretty high bar! But are Conte the same size, anyway?

Very interesting. Not that I need another project to do. I'll probably just admire from afar.
