Hi Dirk,
I think you posted that you'd bought some Ex-Force figures. Great aren't they? As I said in the ECW section of the blog, your About Caesar rules inspired me to start collecting 54mm figures and when I saw the Ex-Force figures, I knew they were the ones to use.
Whilst we're talking about the figures and your rules, can I ask you a question please? As the Ex-Force figures are 60mm and therefore bigger, I've changed the size of the bases to accommodate the figures and made them slightly bigger than your rules suggest. Hope that's OK and won't affect the rules in any way?
I've made the foot figure bases 80x60 (instead of your 55x55) and altered the cavalry bases to 50x100. In order to accommodate the scythed chariot, I've used a 165x220 size based. Looking at your YouTube posts, it looked like some of your light infantry troops were based singly, so I have done the same but on bases a little bigger to try to show the looser formation - 50x60 size bases.
I hope you won't think I've abused your rules, but the figures prompted me to do this so they'd fit and look right. Apologies if you think I've ruined your system, but thought I'd pass on the sizes in case they were of interest to you.
Many thanks for a super set of rules
Dave

No problem Dave. A wargame rule is a guideline, not a law. Best of course if you use other measures you should keep to that as possible to all the units. This to avoid discussion with distances of a charge or ranged targetting, A centimeter can make the difference. Or if a unit has room or not to pass trough a gap. Not all figures you see on my posts are from me of course. My fellow clubmembers do sometime use different basings, which can be annoying, for the reasons above. If you think you have to change things in the rule please do. It's the fun playing that's all that counts.
Cheers
Dirk

Brilliant Dirk. Must have taken you ages. Love the Thracians. Thinking of getting the Thracians foot to go with my Alexandrian army, and the Thracians cavalry to go with my Persian army.
A great site for us to look at. Any more sites for your rules/figures most welcome.
Would love to put some more photos of my Ex-Force figures onto the site, but still haven't worked out how to reduce them and post them!!!!! An age thing.
Best Wishes Dave

Forgot to say that Scott Lam from Ex-Force has told me that the Greek crew for the artillery (available at the moment for the Persians) Will be coming out in the second half of the year, so something to look forward to.

Hey Dave.
I signed up. Those figures look great! What rules do you have then based for? And how did you handle the designs on the Macedonian shields?
