Does anyone know where I might buy lmg,smg and rifles that are compatible with AIP figures?

There are rifles in Mike L's Dorset Soldiers, not sure about LMGs or SMGs (no doubt he will say)http://www.dorsetmodelsoldiers.com/casting.php. Very good prices and even more so with the recent 10% off offer for figures for this game. Tradition of London have them all,https://traditionoflondonshop.com/Spare_Parts_Rifles_-_Swords_54mm&osCsid=fkfedel97qgk7ca0dd1m4im6k1' ScaleLink do all main WWI nations, inc Belgium! at www.scalelink.co.uk/These are in metal of course. In plastic TSSD now MicShauns Closet does/did some micshaunscloset.com/collections/tssd-toy-soldiers-of-san-diegoThere are some exquisite resin ones by Eedees Miniatures, but they are more costly than the metal ones www.reedeesminiatures.co.uk/. Jon Smith does some, but I haven't actually seen any yet at jonsmith-modellbau.com

...well that was so underwhelming!I swopped heads from the AIP WWI Germans in picklehelms onto AIP FFL - and they looked - boring! And I bought the two sets just to do this with them. Now I am in a quandry as to what to do about it - finish them anyway, and hope my next idea works better, or abandon and try some other head perhaps?
I have some castings coming from Dorset so I can see which of those I perfere. The Russian grenadier I was going to use as BB Fusilier-Grenadiers anyway. Unfortuately Mike can't find the mould for the Austrian Tyrol hat so I'm stuck for Fusilier-Jagers for the moment. I did have a few HaT Brunswick jagers, but I used them for may A-H Nap army.
Looking again at the mounted Murat figures I was going to convert for Ottoams - now I think they may become a personal bodyguard to the Kron-Prinz...hussar-lancers.

That’s a shame that they haven’t lived up to your expectations, maybe leave them aside and come back to them later. Perhaps they will seem better after a time away? Sounds like you have some other good ideas to work upon at the moment. Perhaps you could post a picture here and let us see how the conversions are going?

You are right, OMR often makes a difference. Will try it. Yes, plenty more to go at. Will take some photos and post as suggested. I also now have taken delivery of a Tradition WWI armoured car metal kit which should keep me quiet for a while!

A good question and one I can’t recall if we came to a conclusion about. Seems to me you can’t go wrong with 2p pieces ,but mounted , I certainly haven’t done cavalry yet. What does everyone feel about basing?

Hi guys. I just need to ask a question. I note that some of you are talking about building foot and cavalry units. Can I ask if it would be ok just to do 1 foot unit. It's embarrasing, but I haven't had any work since March and I was not eligible for Government help, so have had no income. Also, because of a mistake by my (incompletetent!!!!!) employers in 2009-2010, I'm having to pay back £2,500 to the Pension people!! So things are a bit tight and with the job I do, it could be next year before we're back at work. Sorry to talk about this, but I know I'm among friends here. So if it's ok, I'll just do one 12 figure foot unit. Thanks guys for your friendship and understanding
