An interesting concept that neatly aligned with a ready source of figures that I had. I wrote about it here a little (includes some links about the source idea) (https://portlandlittlewars.blogspot.com/2020/08/great-helm-grenadiers.html) Best, Spencer

Glad you brought this to the attention of folk here. I will be interested in what they make of it...

Oooh, these look fantastic! I discovered the Turnip28 thing on 4Chan's /tg/ board, and like the aesthetic, but never thought to take it into 54mm.
Are those medieval heads from Timpo recasts?

Yes they are Timpo. They're probably a bit chunkier/larger in scale, but I think that doesn't matter here. A non-gamer friend saw my photos and said they looks like early Gilliam films.

Yes, they look ace. Are you planning to build enough to game with them?

Yes, they look ace. Are you planning to build enough to game with them? Yep. I have enough figures at hand to make 12 units (of 12 men each)! I'll probably use the my simple variant of Men Who Would Be Kings initially.

Completely bonkers - I love it!
I've loads of knights if you need any more heads. And HaT figures, if that is what they are.

Great work there. The figures are filled with character, even possibly menace . The milliput work is very effective indeed. I am looking forward to seeing them painted . The otherness of the setting is conveyed really well including the strange cart.

Not much, if at all these days. I tend to use glue, wire, cocktail sticks and masking tape to repair figures etc. I didn’t quite get your last comment.

Greenstuff - which IMHO is much easier to use than Milliput. Or Greystuff. Or Brownstuff. Or Magicsculp. Or Supersculp?

Well, that's certainly different. What are you adding to the backpacks?
