I have painted some of the True legends figures and they are on my blog somewhere. When I have done a few more I'll let you now. The land of Dark Elves is on my fantasy map. They haven't got involved raiding and pillaging yet.

got one more suggestion for orcs. This guy arrived in the post recently. From the 1980's a pewter Orc giant from grenadier miniatures. I sold my original years ago but was able to buy a replacement from mirilton (sp?) miniatures. I really loved grenadier miniatures as a kid and being able to include at least one figure from that manufacturer in the one true scale is pleasing to me Grenadier have release a handful of figures that look to be 54mm in size, or are bigger and could still work as giants etc. Here's the figure next to one of my convert tehnolog archers My plan is to clone this guy and do a bunch of conversions based on the "orcs of the severed hand" box set that grenadier released. Not the most efficient way to build up an army of orcs so I'm probably going to add a few tehnolog mountain orcs and do some head swaps etc

I was searching on ebay for something else when I learned that Valiant miniatures released some 54mm orcs:

Good find, John, though I must say he looks more like a Runequest Troll to me!

Yeah I like the look of that one, also getting extra arms and weapons is a bonus

Based on LOTR art by the Brothers Hildebrandt! I used to get their Tolkien calendars when I was a kid...
