Thanks for the info rahway! This batch look like 13th C knights, my favourite era of the Middle Ages. I've never seen an English knight with a rectangular shield before, but presumably there must be evidence for this somewhere. If not, it would be easy to replace the shield with the more common heater shield.

The Ivanhoe group is an odd set of characters for a box. Interesting comment. I rather like that they are a set of real 'characters' rather than yet another bunch of fighting knights? Fits in with the emphasis on individuality in our games of Derring-Do, where the 'set dressing' often rivals the game in terms of fun.
