I started this project a while back, but of course fluttered onto something else. I have plenty of figures to crack on with, but not much time! Here is the Duke himself to kick off with, a Tradition figure, although I have a nicer one from Rose Miniatures yet to paint

Lovely figure and an interesting period. I game Malburian in 10mm. What figures are you thinking of using? I can't think of a firm that produces models in 54mm for this period
Hope you'll keep us posted about your progress and I'm sure we'd love to see photos to go along with your posts.

Nice figure Mike. I suspect most of your Marlburians will end up being metal except for the Replicants you mentioned on another thread?
Cheers Anthony

A great effort Mike. A nice toy soldier style. I was wondering whether to get some Replicants for my ECW range, but they look like they have a lot of flash on them and that put me off. You've done a great job with them
Best Wishes Dave

I currently have 300 of the 54mm Tehnolog "Peter the Great" figures. I'm using them for my Great Northern War, Scania War and early colonial America skirmish gaming. I also have 40 figures each of Tehnolog's Indians and Cossacks.
For the GNW I've managed to convert the 3 musketeer figures to mounted dragoons (using Airfix horses) and dismounted dragoons. Modified the NCO into a pikeman, added turned backed coat skirts for the Swedes, made molds of scratch built karpus, grenadier hats (and round wide-brimmed floppy hats for my Scania War figures). Also I've modified the original musketeer figures so that they're holding their weapons in different positions, also made the standing/firing figure into a kneeling/firing figure. Even though there's only 5 figures in the Tehnolog set I've been able to modify extensively to make numerous figures for my skirmish gaming.
I'll try to post pictures later today or tomorrow. If anyone is interested in getting some of these figures I've got probably 100 of the soft plastic figures for sale.

Welcome wwj - I'd love to see pictures of the conversions and to see the variety you have.
If you need help uploading pictures (you can add them as attachments but they have to be under 1mb each) then please ask.
Mike

Oh no! Shouldn't have looked at these! They look very fun and tempting! Memories of Ronald Welch's Captain of Horse!

This picture shows three of the mounted Russian dragoons that I converted from the 54mm Tehnolog figures., the horses are 54mm Airfix models from their Napoleonic series.
