I just thought a place to put news about forthcoming shows might be a good idea. The idea is fourfold:
1) A chance to let us all know about any shows/events that are going on and which may have a 54mm game taking place. 2) A place for Mike to let us know when he (and maybe Anthony) will be taking Black Hat so we can call to say "Hello" and buy some goodies 3) A place that members can say they're attending and maybe arrange to meet up with fellow forum members who are just names on a computer screen at the moment. I know I have made a great friend on the To the Strongest forum, met up at a show and become good friends. 4) A chance to extend the Swapmeet idea that Mike started and maybe deliver the goods/swaps
Afraid I won't be able to attend the show on 10th June. I'm putting on a wargame of Bosworth for the Richard III Society I belong to. But I hope you have a great show and hopefully will be able to meet you at another event.
Glad you've been able to publicise the event and hope more members will take up the opportunity to do the same.
No. Were using the Perry 28mm figures. Don't know if there are any suitable 54mm figures for the WoR. Most I've seen seem to be more suited to the 100 Years War, unless you're a millionaire and can afford the John Jenkins figures at £60-120+ - although they are beautiful.
I think my mate is using the new Impetus Version2. I think they've ironed out a lot of the problems in Version 1.

Hi Dave,
I can't find the relevant link at the moment but it was a chap called Phil Steele. He described how he created the 54mm Bosworth project on his blog 'Ancients on the Move' back in 2013. He did list the figure manufacturers he used but I seem to remember he had to use a mix of plastic and metal (Irregular Miniatures do some late 15th century figures).
Anyway, I'm glad to hear Impetus 2 is an improvement on its predecessor!
