Thanks for this Greencommander, the "One brain cell" rules are perfect for me, I won't dwell on what that says about my mental capacity.

Don't be so hard on yourself. You need the One Brain Cell rules because the rest of your brain is bursting with knowledge of wargaming, military history, tactics, and memories of yore; the only danger is that people may find you to be yoring.

Is it OK for me to mention that I write regularly in the bi-monthly hobby magazine Toy Soldier Collector, on 54mm wargaming, and conversion of and reviews of 54mm plastic figures? www.toysoldiercollector.com. Always happy to hear from fellow hobbyists, and listen to requests for 'how to' articles. Best Mike 'Botch' Blake

This is the Small Wars Manual of the US Marine Corps, 1940. Restricted at the time of publication. It is very long and full of fascinating details. The tactical sections are very interesting. They explain how to organize patrols, defensive ambushes, offensive ambushes, river crossings, attacks on houses and bivouacs, etc. Small Wars are defined as situations involving local insurgents and Guerilla groups. US policy is noninterventionist but protection of US citizens does not require declaration of war. Initially, the plan is to destroy organized enemy forces but after that it becomes a peace keeping operation that must deal with small groups, some of whom might be imported from elsewhere. www.marines.mil/Portals/59/Publications/FMFRP%2012-15%20%20Small%20Wars%20Manual.pdf

Had an email from Scott Lam of Expeditionary Force and he outlined some of the future developments.
1 At some point, they will expand their Colonial range and will include the Boxer Rebellion.
2 Seven Years War is on the planning board, but will have to wait as they are concentrating on the Roman and Napoleonic ranges At the moment.
3 Supplementary sets for the Greek/Persian range will be put later this year or early next year. Sculpting is almost completed for Greek artillery (lithobolis stone thrower) and a mule cart for field logistics.
Great news all round.
Best Wishes Dave

Being kind of late to the 54mm-60mm game, but are there still folks involved in this scale? My focus are usually large dioramas of battles of the American Revolution. Of course this takes up a lot of space and I have found that I will need to focus my efforts on certain parts of a battle to make the diorama successful. I have posted some of my efforts on various wargame and Revolutionary war sites. Because of my health, small figures, are just to difficult to manipulate.
I also try and make battlefield and topographic items, by hand, as much as I can. Most of my funds go into mdtal figures.
Thank you for your time.

Hi Henry. Welcome to this forum. Would be good to see some of your photos on this forum Dave Everytime I try and send photos, it says my files are too big. I really don't know how to get a smaller size photo. If you go to some of the AWI, American Revolution sites on FaceBook, you will be able to see some of the photos. These are large photos, usually takes up the whole screen with each photo. Sorry, I don't know what else to do. Henry DeJulia
