I am planning some skirmish gaming based on the fighting against the Malay pirates featured in the George MacDonald Fraser novel, "Flashman's Lady". I would appreciate suggestion on an appropriate 54mm miniature I can use for Flashman himself. I assume he would be attired in a similar fashion to the attached image of Rajah Brooke. I will be using Royal Navy miniatures for the Indian Mutiny from Irregular for the naval component.
Thanks in advance, Nick Stern

My first reaction to Flashman was the old Britains lancer officer turned in the saddle but that's no good for this.
Looking at the painting, the BMC Col Travis figure from the Alamo set comes to mind. Ross

This is what I used for a game with Flashy involved. Will see if I have photos of game and figure. He was standing around on a shelf for a long time, but no doubt now I want him he will be AWOL!

I concur with Ross that the BMC Alamo Col. Travis figure works, you can also use the AIP Royal Navy figures for the Flashman

Thanks for the suggestions! The Colonel Travis figures is a great suggestion and I believe I have one stashed somewhere. I also found this Relicants figure from the Nelson at Trafalgar set. I am undecided whether I should remove his hat and add putty forehead and hair. In the book he is carrying an early colt revolver so I may find an appropriate ACW figure and do a little Frankensteining on his left hand. Nick
