My 54mm collection is small (but growing) and I'm finally at the stage where storage is becoming a thing. What do people store their figures in? Any and all suggestions welcome

I use compartmented storage trays originally designed as inserts for Really Useful Boxes. In the case of metal figures I use magnetic tape to keep them in place.

I use a variety of Really Useful Boxes - the 4-litre are fine for most 20thC Infantry, the 9-litre for cavalry. The 11-litre also features in the lineup. I have also taken to using the transparent A4 plastic boxes from Weston Boxes. Buying them as ‘seconds’ makes them just over £1 each, and they will comfortably accommodate about 40 54mm Infantry laid down with bubble wrap between layers.

Hi,
I too use the really useful boxes. What did model collectors and wargames do before these were "invented"?
I put steel paper down on the bottom of the box, then put magnetic strips on the bottom of the MDF bases OF MY FIGURES or sabots.
I used to put it on the whole of the sabots, but Coritani miniatures that I get my magnetic paper from not only do big A4 or A3 sizes, they do packs of strips in various sizes so I now just put a strip at either end of my sabots.
You'll need to measure the height of your figures to get the safest boxes for you - and I always take a tape measure along to measure the height of the boxes before I buy. My 54MM ECW figures obviously need a taller box than y ancient skirmisher!!!
Good luck with your boxing proje t!!
