It is nice and interesting, but I am not sure how useful it will be for gaming.

Nice set as an historical display though. As for gaming - fighting off Inuit? Polar Bears packs? Wolves? More seriously, a nice naval crew/landing party for a number of periods...I am looking at them as possible opponents for the Tlingit and Hudson's Bay trappers...

But Mike, what about using the Captain with telescope and the sailor with pickaxe for your RCW/BoB, that Officer would make a great White Russian general The chap with the lamp easily converted to a Mexican (for Wild West or Mex Rev). I love the chap reaching for his cartridge for his musket, reminds of the famous painting of the last stand at gandamak during the 1st Afghan War, in fact the others would convert to that action also
