Inspired by the work of manoftinblog and rossmac among others, I've been slowly plugging away at an "imagi-world" setting for my late 19th-century 54mm battles to take place.

That's an impressive amount of imagination and work! Its also a marvellous setting for tales and wargame campaigns. Well done.
(One day I have to get back to developing geography and backstories and doing some actual campaigns rather than making up a reason for a game as I lay it out, or clean it up........)

Thanks! It's something I enjoy doing when I have some downtime so it never feels like work.

Very well done! I've always enjoyed maps, both real and imagined. Sometimes though you find a gem, such as yours. Not long ago, in March of this year, I found an excellent map online showing western and central Europe about 1100 C.E. It became the basis for a late 18th century imaginary campaign. If anyone is interested, please take a look at my blog, derresinkavalier. blogspot.com

I've really enjoyed the AWI battles on your blog and will be following the imagi-nations campaign with interest...
gonefishing It's surprisingly easier to do than you might think! Especially if you take your time and add a little bit to it here and there, rather than try and bite it all off in one go.

I've added the next post in this series, covering the history and units of some of the major countries on the planet of Pelia, plus flags!
