I used to just use lichen for Zarebas in 25mm, but I don't think that will work as well for 54mm. Any suggestions?
Thanks

What part of the world are you? In the southwestern US you could get tumbleweeds and break them up into passable zareba material.

Thanks, Duck. I am in California. I wonder if I can find tumbleweeds at Michaels Arts and Crafts.

Michael’s sells dried moss, tan in color, that I use to make my zaribas. I glue them onto tongue depressor sticks, also from Michael’s. I paint the stick brown or tan before gluing the moss to the stick.

The old 'horse-hair' packagong material used to be perfect for this...but it seems to have been replaced by plastic now. Might to worth googling thou - specialist packaging places might still have it or something like it.

You can still get rubberised horse hair, popular with railway modellers as well, from some scenic suppliers such as Greenscene in the Uk. Or from furniture suppliers - as long as you want a really large piece. Sadly, as a friend mof mine says "it seems more rubber than horse hair these days".
