In an earlier thread I showed some simple conversions I had done for the purpose of making Royal Spanish troops for my ongoing "Viva Iberia" campaign (originally, it was "Viva Espana", but that' also a TFL pint-sized campaign). The basic figures were AIP and ACTA French line with head-swops using Irregular Miniatures UK head or just a paint job. These new figures follow that route. They are pictured below. The three officer figures are from the EF French Line officer/Command sets, 54 BCF o3 and 54 FRN 03. These are truly versatile figures and would be a good basis for early Saxon infantry also. The Grenadiers are AIP with Austrian heads (not perfect, but good enough) and the Voluntarios de Málaga are ACTA Dutch Waterloo Infantry (Series 31) with a slightly trimmed shako. As always, I invite you to check out my blog Der Resinkavalier for more on this and other projects!

Great work. The figures look the part. I am pleased to read you are intending to use simple , straightforward rules , that’s the way I like them.

Alan (both of you!),
I have all of Dirk's 'About....' rules and have enjoyed the one set I have actually played-'About Cromwell'; so much so that I have played a number of 54mm ECW games with them in the past.
Cheers Anthony
