This year is sixty years since C S Lewis died. If ever there was a time to do a wee Narnian project… Figure suggestions most welcome!

uk.narnia.com/Oh the richness of Narnian campaigns and characters ... where to start? I hadn’t clocked this anniversary. This snuck up whilst I was not looking. Certainly worth a reread of a few of his books in November onwards? There were some Narnia film tie-in shop or Happy Meal figures a few years back.

One bookish alternative is to use photocopies or scans of the Illustrated figures from the books one sided Peter Dennis Paper Boys style.
Thought of this when looking at lots of reimagined paper or print your own Narnia figures on Etsy ...

Been trawling without success. Not too keen on going down the paper figure route ( for now) and am finding nothing to my taste. I enjoyed the films and the tv adaptation but this is what I think of illustration wise- www.paulinebaynes.com/?what=artifacts&image_id=571&cat=69Hmmm , a challenge indeed

Fairly easy to do in 28mm but a challenger in larger scales. I guess you could use larger 28mm figures as the children and Papo figures as giants. Things like Reaper Mouselings would do for some of the animals (I think they are nearly human size in 28mm). These centaurs are a bit too armoured: www.amazon.co.uk/Fantasy-Battles-Centaurs-Tehnolog-Soldiers/dp/B01LM1ZNA2It might be easier to make your own by chopping a horse and some other lightly armoured figures and joining them. You can get 1/32nd scale reindeer and a sleigh from shapeways but they look prerry expensive. Andrea Miniatures did a range of 54mm Narnia metal kits which you cna still find and they did Lucy, Peter, etc plus Minotaur, the beavers, etc. but they are also quite expensive. There is, of course, the Hasbro Prince Caspian action figure range but they are 4" figures... Interesting project to do.

This year is sixty years since C S Lewis died. If ever there was a time to do a wee Narnian project… Figure suggestions most welcome! I have occasionally pondered the same thing. I'd probably do a crossover thing such as Narnia versus Ozzz! The good news is there are heaps of cheap plastic animals. There are some nice lions, with a Schleich one being good as Aslan. Also, Technolog did a lot of fantasy stuff, including minotaurs and centaurs. There are some cheap tube sets of fantasy figures that include centaurs. There are plenty of witchy or queen type figures around for the White Witch. Disney Kinder Egg princesses I have converted into Oz witches.

My advice would be to avoid battles with fantasy creatures and just focus on wars between human soldiers from Archenland and Calormen! Both of these could be achieved with Irregular Miniatures' Medievals range, particularly their Crusader and Saracen models!

A thought did just occur to me. You could take any of these horses here, from Irregular Miniatures... ...and with a little bit of work, saw off their heads/necks and replace them with the upper torsos of models such as these: (guy on the right) ...and what do you have? CENTAURS!
