Just finished 24 dismounted knights (minor conversions of Irregular Miniatures 54mm), mounted here on movement trays for Lion Rampant
I will also use them singulary to play songs of blades within my motte-and-bailey, and mounted in close order on square trays to fight historic pitched battles like Lincoln and Tinchebrai as gridded wargames.
And there is also a carroccio under construction* so that Tradgardmastre can strip off and lead the Galwegians in a wild charge in a refight of Northallerton "the Battle of the Standards"
*bishop and all important pyx still to be added

Absolutely fantastic Patrick! Funnily enough I'm about to get back in to the Song of... series of games as they're ideal for 54mm gaming. I hope Alan spares us all and ignores the first part of your admonition:)
Cheers Anthony

Fantastic work Patrick! The figures look terrific. The Carroccio is great and the defenders of iit look like they mean to defend it to the last man. As for the other matter, it is too chilly in these climes to even strip off a winter coat currently!

If you insist Alan, you can be King David and stay at the rear in mail armour. But you'll have to wait for me to find figures for and paint up the hosts of Galloway, Lothian, Lorn, Moray and the Isles that need to take up position between you and the enemy, alongside prince Henry's knights.

The bishop is painted, along with a less than shiny pyx atop the mast.
I like to think the staff of the Bishop's crosier is about to snap under the hypocrisy of a Norman preaching against an invader's pillaging of the North after the Harrying of the North sixty years earlier.
Bishop from whitetowerminiatures.co.uk, he is larger in scale than Irregular Minatures 54mm, but after I sawed above the hem of his robes he is now at least the same height as the Irregular figures.
