Has anyone got a contact for the new owner of Dorset Models other than through the website address?
thanks

I ordered bucket loads of Dorset minis some years ago for a Sikh Wars project and had very good service. I know the old owner retired 2-3 (4?) years ago and it was taken over by someone new. Sorry, that isn't much help, but I do hope they are still a going concern - they have some wonderfully charming figures. Please keep us posted!

Both Alan Gruber and I have experienced hold ups with Dorset spare parts orders earlier in the year / last year, the new owner did phone through to apologise for the delay and check the order, having had ill health issues and I think (if memory serves) a road traffic accident. Alan I believe had quite a chat with him. So phoning may be better than emailing?

I did have a lovely chat with him but my order never turned up and so l haven’t really had any dealings with him since. When l phoned l left a message for him and he did phone me back. That might be the way to proceed...

There appears to be no way to leave a message for him on the Dorset phone number. I have been given a direct email address and tried that as well as sending a letter.

I spent six months chasing my last order by email, I kept getting fobbed off with excuses and promises. When it did eventually arrive most of the parts were very poorly cast the heads were a bit flat like they'd put too much pressure on the mould.
I've been buying Dorset parts since the 1980's and always had great service from the original owner, Giles Brown, but have yet to hear a single good report about the new people.
You might try Replica Metal Soldiers, they're building up a range of spare parts.

It is actually a business proposition I want to talk to him about, not to get spare parts.....
