I usually try and play a Camerone Day game today, but the lock down continues, so I am posting photos of a skirmish "mini-Camerone" game I played in 2016. The rules were A Fistful of Lead. Unhistorically, the Chasseurs d' Afrique relief column arrived, but too late to save Capt. Danjou. As you can see I managed to save his wooden hand

Thanks, Joe. Most of them are Barzso buildings, bought before they became collectors items. Hopefully the owner of LOD will get around to producing them again for an affordable price!

Breathtaking work, Nick. I remember seeing these pics years ago, but how lovely to see them again!

What figures are you using for the French?

Thanks for those links, Nick. It's all hugely tempting. What I'm most curious about, though, is how you got your hands on that hand - I love props like that! And silly hats, of course...

Hi Daryl,
The hand is from an art supply store. I then stained it to look like Capt. Danjou's. I bought it for Camerone Day 2013.
Cheers! Nick

IF I ever roll forward on such a project consider that idea stolen. Marvelous.
This thread has already seen me trotting out to the garage to check on the troops, to find that I already have enough Mexicans (if I recycled them, which I generally do for "hordes" in this kind of game), and then perusing that Argentinian site, stroking the whiskers and thinking to self, "Hmmm, if I were to buy two sets of the seven legionnaires, plus a few officer types..." Out of curiosity, about how many French did you use?
Did you find Fistful bogged down with the larger figure count? I'd generally only use it for much smaller games. Mind is whirring, as you can see!

Hi Daryl,
I took the scenario straight out of the FfoL Black Powder rules book: "The Legion player (defender) should have 2 units of 5 models. One of these units should have a Leader. The attackers, the Republican Mexican player(s), should outnumber the defenders by 2 to 1. It works best to make units of 5. One unit should contain a Leader, and one unit can be all peasants armed only with farm implements and machetes. They should be rated as Green Militia." The Ffol Black Powder rules allow you to activate by unit, so the game goes pretty quickly.
