Those are looking really good, Rupert. I actually looked at the photos above before reading your comments, and thought "Blimey, those look like Steve Weston's Mexican peasants!" What a great conversion!
This is not meant at all as a criticism, but have you ever thought of mixing more hair colours in addition to blondes? A few redheads, perhaps, or maybe some brunettes?

Thank you for keeping us posted on your progress. Thanks for your comments. Great fun converting the Weston figures. I also have Gaul and Dacian armies made in a similar way. So for the sake of easy recognition on the tabletop when inter-tribal warfare breaks out I have sacrificed realism and gone for stereotypical hair colours for each.
