Quite a few of my 'monsters' fit the category. Picked up cheap in car boots, charity shops and Pound stores. I will try to find some and post photos. Many are, to my shame, untouched, whilst others are converted but not painted!

Safari and similar are good sources for those, the trick being to find them for a good price. I've been buying 6" figures (Marx?) to use as giants. I stumbled on some cavemen on eBay that I remember form the 70s and also some medieval knights - the latter I am sure are Marx, the others I don't know. The cavemen I'll use as rustic hill giants, the knights as automatons defending a stronghold (As in Harry Potter) or as if that GoT colossus could come to life. Only I guess I really need a bigger figure for that: there is one, made by WizKids, I'm guessing. Hugely expensive, however!

I do have a D&D Blue Dragon - Gargantuan sized so it is still quite big even for 60mm figures. As far as giants go, I guess it depends upon how tall you think giants should be?

I used plastic skeleton dinosaurs to mount my converted skeleton cavalry riders on when I did 54mm Fantasy about 18 years ago.

The dollar stores are putting out their Halloween stuff. Giant rats - really large ones i.e. 6+" tall, and ones in packs of 3 about 3" long. Also bats. And giant skeleton piranha. I bought one. Not sure what I'll use it for yet. It's about 8" long, if not slightly more.

I looked for mine but can't see it anywhere...must be in a box, or behind a box. I hope I didn't sell it off at some flea market! I googled it and the prices are $220 and similar! I didn't pay anywhere near that price but I guess its a "collectors" item nowadays! :-0

Every Halloween season my local Cheap as Chips has a selection of Halloween toys, including bone coloured plastic animal skeletons. I have picked up skeleton frog, rat, scorpion and spider! Now they have skeleton cats and crows. These are life sized. I won't be getting the cat one as it is far too big and makes me sad! I'm going to get the crow so my Undead army has an airforce! I have use the frog before. As for skeleton spiders and scorpions this is for fantasy so these particular types of creatures have internal skeletons, just like vertebrates! A 54mm human skeleton figure easily fits astride behind the heads, except perhaps the frog. Or a vampire could ride them. I also have toy skeleton dinosaurs that are not uncommon and also have been given riders, particularly the triceratops.
Apart from that I have a store of dinosaurs that I have mounted Chaos riders on and will also use for my 54mm Dark Elf riders. I also have an Italeri chariot pulled by de-winged dragons.
