With the next Corona Lockdown coming up her in germany... I was trying something weird and new... for me at least...
I grabbed all my heavy Del Prado minis and thought of combining them to a Imagination match. Sat down and wrote my own old school rules.
I wanted something easy, straight forward. With single minis, no trays, and casualtys laying on the table, a grind for easy movement and so on....
I organised my "armies" in 6 men-Inf battllions, 3 men Cav and guns + 4 men. I opted for a small 1,2m x 1,2m-table. With a 20cm grid. I wont bore you with my imaginations background, but its something with frenchi-like troops invading a small german-like buffer state. The germans are in the foreground. While the french are attacking the farm in the center.
You can spot the grid...its marked by stones. For scenery I had the farm, 2x difficull terrain and one wood. I just took a few shots, but the troops of the german Herzog got the better start. They managed to break one of the frenchi-like battllions...
But were to crazy in the middle... The cannon of the Herzog got a few good shots at the grenadiers. The Frenchies wiped the Herzogs horse in the center.
The Herzogs tried to drive the Frech out of the farm, but was repulsed. So, the battle was after 6 rounds a bloody tie: 10 casulties on each side.
I had a lot of fun with this solo-game. And if I am not tooo distracted, I will probably do some more work on the rules...
Cheers, Don

Great looking game and enjoyable battle report. I will be interested in hearing how your rules develop.
