Each time I visit the site I get a message saying passwords are compromised and I should change my passwords. Is this fair dinkum or is it itself an attempt by a thiurd party to discover my changed password.

I haven't had that problem, so I wonder if It's a scam?

Are you using Chrome? That browser will check user names against a list of leaked logins - so if you used the same login name for yahoo or somewhere that has been hacked that might be the reason.
There isnt a problem with pro boards that this forum uses.

Sounds like a phishing scam. I would not follow any links associated with the pop-up. Might be a good idea to run a virus checker, and a malware checker.

If it purports to come from Proboards you could go to Proboards separately, by typing in the address, and see if there is an FAQ. Or ask Google the question and see if it is a "known issue". Just don't follow any links!

As soon as I log in it happens and purports to be from Chrome. Thanks everyone for the advice.

If you change your password, make sure to type the forum address in rather than follow a link.
