I am looking for suggestions for makers of 13th century knights. As they will be used to represent Scots I am looking for plain figures as opposed to the Teutonic or Hospitaler look.

I'm looking for these too:) The only plastic ones I know of have crusader emblems sculpted onto them, whereas I want to be able to add the correct heraldry for the Barons Wars.

Thanks paulcollins, these look ideal for both Alan's and my needs. Now we just need mounted versions...

Thanks paulcollins, they look ideal. Like Anthony has said mounted ones would be great…

Thanks Quantrill. I've had a look at the Timpo Action Pack knights online but unfortunately they're not quite right for what Alan I are looking for. A lot of the figures are wearing plate rather than mail and they all have what I would call 'fantasy' helmets. Also heraldic devices are sculpted onto their shields etc which makes adding one's own heraldry much more difficult. I did consider the multi-coloured swoppet Timpo knights, who apart from their shields (which are detachable so no problem gettting rid of them) are very accurate for the 13th century, all wearing mail with surcoats and barrel helms, and even better the horses have trappers. But once again, the knights have fantasy heraldry sculpted in relief on their chests, which for non-modellers like me makes it very difficult to replace with real heraldry from my chosen period. It seems that most manufacturers who make accurate plastic 54mm medieval figures concentrate on the 100 Years War, while the earlier and later medieval periods are usually neglected. A pity.
