I saw some at the Columbus, Ohio toy soldier show. Not my time period, but well done figures that should satisfy the Dark Age collector.

Could these be used as Roman civilians?

It depends on how accurate you want to be. Romans wore tunics -- not trousers. Trousers were considered barbaric, however, soldiers in northern/cold climes adopted trousers or leggings. I would imagine civilians would wear them as well out on the frontier.

I would like to thank Rahway for starting this thread. Right now, we have 4 sets available. The Saxon Family, Pack of Wolves, Flock of Sheep and Armed Saxon Peasants. I have a bunch of other projects that are in varies stages of development. Most are either being retooled; or I am creating some new things to add to it or changing something. I hope to have the Viking Raiders/Traders finished in the next few months. Most of the figures are finished. I am remaking the tents and adding a few figures. The Blacksmith shop & Potter shop should be ready by February. I will be releasing some small Saxon peasant sets over the next few weeks too. Wattle fencing in a couple of months. The Houses should come in a few months also. The figures can be scaled for 54mm or 57mm and 28mm. You can visit my webpage for more information, warhorseminiatures.com/. I am working on a store page too. I will also be at the Midwest West Toy Solder Show this year. Thank you for reading my ramble, lol. Happy New Year, Mike Prendergast
