I am delighted to report that after an enforced work induced break, FLW will be returning to print in the coming months. I will be posting regular updates here.
Volumes 1 and 2 will be reprinted, and Volume 3 will be take FLW into a Wellsian Interwar era. The book is completed and is being play tested in various locations. Many thanks to all friends in Toy Soldier land for their support, and to Mike for hosting this forum.
Works in progress are a short series of stand alone Great War supplements - and an eighteenth century Baltic game is gradually coming to life.
With best wishes, as ever,
PW

Thanks, and I think it will work well with VBCW.
The main inspiration for the style has been the 'Biggles and Tintin' type era; but the historical background has been the Irish Civil War and Spanish Civil War - which have both had playtests based on these periods. I have also included the Maginot Line and Soviet Airborne types to give it a Thirties feel.
An imaginary 'March on Dublin' by the Blue Shirts was the background for a Hook's Farm game - with Rolls Royce Armoured Cars, and Lewis guns &c.

Greetings from Oz. As someone who collected most of the Funny Little Wars armies and both of your books to date I always look forward to your games and photos. Keep up the great work, Paul.

Thanks James, and the revised edition is nearly there. I have simplified things so that it reads and looks more like Little Wars - and I am just refining the Army lists. The next step is to do the set up with an online publisher. Hopefully Campaigns will follow, then the Inter War volume. I will post regular updates here, and have restarted the supporting Blog funnylittlewars.wordpress.com/It's good to be back! VBW

The final draft of the new FLW is completed. I am working with MR Creative, who have also assisted the Old Talbot House Foundation with a new website: theoldtalbothousefoundation.org.uk/I really like Martyn's approach, and he recently won the illustrated sports book of the year. www.mrcreativestudio.co.ukThe book is now with the designer, and the text is completed. In support I have re-launched the FLW blog to support the revised edition. It aims to place Little Wars in the context of 1911 - 1913, and has a more simplified approach - whilst containing all the original mechanisms. funnylittlewars.blogspot.comThe FLW wordpress blog will eventually become a resource page for game playing aids, army lists and other supporting material.

Gentlemen both,
thank you - and I am working my way through the Pdf's - really pleased with the look - and the front cover is spot on.
I hope to have an update next week - but we are pretty close to the final draft.
With all good wishes, as ever,
Paul

Many thanks, and it will be available in the UK soon. The final draft has gone to print for the proof copy - so hopefully it will be out very soon.
