Anthony and I are taking the Relief of Fort Pippin game to Salute on November 13th at Excel in London.
When this was happening last year we did have some volunteers to help out on the day.
Can people let me know if they are willing to lend a hand - even if for only a coupe of hours on the day?
I have 6 wristbands for free entry so can supply 4 more people with free entry to Salute if they need it.
Please note that Excel require a covid pass, negative lateral test or antibody proof for entry to all their events.
Thanks
Mike

I'm running a VBCW aerial game myself - like you had a full compliment of volunteers when we booked it for 2020 but down on numbers this time - not helped by the double jab / covid passport etc - I presume they will do lft on the door on the day for anyone who isn't clear

As you can see our game was well socially distanced from other games! I didn't manage to take many photos on the day, though I know Alistair did take some. We chatted to a lot of interested (and interesting people) and there was a lot of fascination from some people about playing with Toy Soldiers and 54mm wargaming. I know we have at least one new member already sign up - Mike Redmond - welcome Mike!

That's great news-hello to Mike R from me! I think all three of us felt the day had been worthwhile. It was satisfying to see a number of Dads and their sons really enjoying taking part in the game (we ran three games in all), and as Mike said we had some great chats with various punters. A group of three asked me about next March's Woking Games Day so here's hoping!

It was a funny Salute - lots of space and social distancing and it felt very safe - we had a very talkative day - and with only 3 of us manning the table for our VBCW game and there was little time to get away - at the end of it however we picked up a runners up awards for our game so not too shabby a day out from our point of view

Good to see Pippin fort again, will it be at the March games day? Anthony and I are discussing possibly running it at the March London Toy Soldier Show - we'll talk to them about it in December... But then it will be retired as a game, and I'll look at doing something new for the March 2022 Games Day.
