Now I have sold off all the miniatures side of the business I have been able to reorganise and my Games Room will now just be used for gaming rather than paint and packing.... I got 6 pieces of 5' x 2' 9mm MDF delivered today which will form the basis of a flexible wargames table that can vary in size from 4' x 4' all the way up to 12' x 5'. I am likely to have a 6' or 8' table setup normally... There are still things to do on the room such as get 2 armchairs and a low table for the end of the room and put some pictures up on the walls... Pictures of progress so far: Two view of the room from each end:   Boardgames, wargame rules and wargaming books:  Display cases (with some of my 54mm in them) and more boardgames:  Painting Bureau with computer next to it for watching Netflix, etc whilst painting...  There are two cabinets of figures in the room, the rest are in the study. All the scenery is in the hobby room off this room which also houses the coat d'arms paint stocks, etc and my laser cutter. |

Ft x Ft x mm.... we must be the same generation! (me in head ok 9mm..hmm...bigger, than 1/4", less than 1/2" must be 3/8" ?! Pretty thin, must be either framed? or well supported?
Anyway, the room looks most inviting!

Anyway, the room looks most inviting! -Ross I thought people would understand 5' x 2' rather than 1524mm x 610mm ! :-) The boards are sitting on two 2' wide tables with just a 1' gap in the middle of the table, so they are fine at that thickness. |

I'd love to have some glass display cases like that. I used to have more in my old games room until that became the casting room for Gladiator figures... But in those days I could fit all the painted miniatures I owned in 3 display cases - that is no longer true! |
