Good evening your grace, I have only just found out you are a duke after reading your blog.
To think I served with nobiltiy in the defence of Pippin fort.
Enjoying the blog enourmously. I lived in Cowdenbeath for several years, but never saw a bear.
May I suggest taking the sledge mounted gun when bear hunting.

I painted a few 42mm ECW for my son William. But work is encroaching on my spare time. I plan to make some more norman buildings at xmas. I have also got a few sample 54mm marlborough figures from Irregular. In my head I like the idea of a Nine Year War/War of Spanish Sucession skirmish game with dismounted dragoons as the main troop type. The simple uniforms will suit my painting ability. Not sure my wife will leave enough of my annual bonus in February to try and persuade Irregular to make me a dismounted dragoon. I have spotted a nice galloper gun from this american company www.irminiatures.com/artillery-artillerymen/ and some nice 54mm scenic models here armandbayardi.com/product-category/132-scale/

Some interesting plans ahead. I do hope you will share your progress with us. The buildings sound interesting . Are you going to dig up the lawn for a 54mm motte and Bailey castle? That would be something to see! The dismounted dragoons sound a plan, fingers crossed re bonus…
