I noticed a couple of months ago that the Helmet Soldiers website seems to have expired. I know that Eric, the owner, is a member of this board but he doesn’t seem to have posted for quite a while and I don’t have any contact details for him - just wondered if anyone knew whether Helmet are still in business as they are a great source for Napoleonic cavalry/infantry and spare parts for conversions etc. Eric is also one of the most talented and inspirational producers of 54mm conversions around - used to love reading his blog about creating a 54mm Waterloo and shamelessly copying some of his ideas!

there was an announcement in Plastic Warrior that he was 'retiring'. If he looks at this (I dont have his email) could he please get in touch if he still has any stock to get rid of - I used the weapons a lot.

I sent him a message via this board a couple of weeks ago but he hasn’t replied yet. Same applies for me - there are a few kits and spare heads/weapons/equipment that I’d like to stock up on if there’s a chance it might no longer be available in the future. That would be a shame - still remember the original adverts in Military Modelling in the early 70s for the first cavalry releases!

Mike/Bill Sorry I only recently noticed this thread. The old Helmet website has expired along with the email. Someone has been contacting me who was interested in taking the business on, that, as they say, has all gone quiet so that I can legitimately respond. I do have reasonable stocks of some items although others are no longer available. Bill I have your letter and will respond soon. I can be contacted on ericckemp@aol.com Both, please let me know if you have specific requirements. Best Eric

Hi Eric Good to hear from you! I’ll get in touch with you regarding the stuff I need to see if you have it in stock. Had to resort to sending you a letter when all other forms of communication weren’t possible - just like the old days! Speak to you soon Bill
