yep I had the same thought Now I have 2 figures! well.... 3 really if you count this old halfling figure I found. I might add him in he scales ok and I really like Mark Copplestone sculpts. The archer is another conversion with a GW elf arm, a SW head and the usual putty. I've got some 40mm figures on the way I just wanted to stick something together to get me going. My usual slightly blurry pics and table-ready painting. The archers head is probably a bit big I may replace it when I find something suitable.

I find the Ex Force fit in well with the OG. In fact I have used OG riders on ExForce horses to add variety. I use OG as personalities and command figures as a bit of variety plus the types ExForce don’t do. Here is a link to the Doug Miller 40mm which l have used - 1525miniatures.net/figures/ They are lovely figures adding variety and interest to other units. Size wise they are excellent with elastolin.

Alan, many thanks for your reply. I may consider mixing my X-Force and OG figures after all. The 1525 Miniatures website was very interesting and the right period for early Tudor wars. Hopefully he will expand his range as time goes on. Best wishes, Anthony.

I couldn't see any prices on the 1525 site? How much are they?

Mike,
There's a link to a new price list on the shop page (where it has links to figures and books).
Cheers Anthony

rolled the dice on some plastoy figures that just arrived today from ebay. After lots of searching online for images I felt that they were a good fit for 40mm and an easy way to get some variety in my not exactly huge collection Good news is that the figures I got are VERYclose to 40mm. The big knights range between 41mm to 43mm to the top of the helmet but I think I can lose 1mm off the bottom of the feet as they are too chunky and I am going to do conversions to change the poses up a bit. The skeleton figures are about 42mm...damn I will have to check again! The heads are too big so I will look for a swap at some stage. The orc and a dwarf figure (not pictured) are huge would work better at 1/32. Plastoy do a range of fantasy/ medieval types I will keep an eye out for them. The paint jobs aren't too bad a few washes and they'll be good to go. I like the prepainted aspect of these My collection now stands at err....24 or so figures now
