Hello all. Does anyone play or collect in the huge scales, 70s and up, even action figure size like Schleich and Papo?

afraid so - action figure sizes 70mm upwards but not Action Man, and including Papo Bully ELC Schleich. Mostly SF Warhammer 40K based. Will post some pics.
Planned Three Musketeers too and have figures forthem and dragons for Pierre Pevel's The Cardinals Guard trilogy but never finished (but now going in 54mm with Chintoy sets etc. Intend using some of the dragons tho.)

I have a large collection of Schleich and PAPO figures (along with a handful from other makers). I have put on games several times over the years using a modified version of the skirmish rules in Medieval Tactica. I am planning on doing a castle siege game with a rolling tower and several catapults, but have not managed to create the ground work and do the paining required. Perhaps I will get inspired again and get it knocked out after I finish my current Second Mexican American War game. For that projecte I am sticking to 54mm mostly AIP, Steve Weston, A Call to Arms, Replicants, and IMEX.

Somehow I missed this thread when it first came up, so I'm happy you commented. I too have a collection of Papo/Schleich knights, civilians, wizards and witches and even *ahem* a few dragons. Their visual appeal on the table is second to none. To me they are one of those near perfect toys: colorful, with good heft, robust, and almost immediately appealing to even non-gamers. I love them. For rules I've used Dan Mersey's Song of Arthur and Merlin (worth picking up just for inspiration even if you don't end out using the rules) and the old Lord of the Rings Strategy Battle Game. Both provide good fun. I'd be interested to learn more about the Tactica rules you use, if you're willing to say more.
Good gaming!

I was tempted by them years ago, but I couldn't find enough variety to suit me, and then, the local supply seemed to dry up.
