"Hello My name is Bradley Dunlap. I have played a lot of wargames over the years. I have recently gotten the 54mm bug. I love painting the figures. Currently working on Franco Prussian war plastics for use with A gentlemans war." Welcome aboard! Are you on Facebook? If so there is a good A Gentleman's War Group. I've been wargaming in 54mm since the late 90's (not counting the 60's) in addition to smaller scales (40mm has become my most common size). Feel free to drop by and check my blog gameofmonth.blogspot.ca. for illustrated battle reports etc etc Ross

I found this board a few years ago, lost it, and found it again after I started gaming in 54's. I suppose I've been in 54's since I was ... since Eisenhower was president. Of course I just thought they were toy soldiers back then. My main interests are the American Revolution and Anglo-American War of 1812. Just recently I've started painting French Napoleonics. Please feel free to check out my blog: derresinkavalier.blogspot.com

I just found out about this forum recently. My name is Mike Prendergast. I run the blog page Warhorse Miniatures and recently started my own line of 3D Printed Miniatures. My main focus is 11th Century Anglo-Saxon England. I am also starting to do some French & Indian War figures now too. I am glad to have joined. warhorseminiatures.com/

Welcome Mike! Love your blog. Do you have plans to sell 3D-printing STLs in addition to your physical resin miniatures?

Hi all, my name is Jordan Jachim and I collect 54mm 18th Century figures (see some at RedcoatsandRuffles.blogspot.com). I've been a long time lurker and have enjoyed watching the community and learning from their expertise. Now I hope to take a more active part in these discussions.

Good day, friends!
After some gentle recommendations from Alan (tradgardmastre) I have decided to join the forum.
I enjoy many aspects of playing with toy soldiers, from 6mm to 54mm. I also lurk upon Alan's blog and Ross' blog. Perhaps I shall one day embark upon my own.
For me the hobby is a welcome diversion from actual playing army (the Vermont Army National Guard) and my civvy gig (frozen food warehousing and distro)
I hope to expand my 54mm ACW project with cheapish toy soldiers and my 54mm and 1/32 scale WW2 Canadians in NW Europe project.
All the best; Eric

Thank you, Mike!
I'll be visiting Alan in April, so perhaps we'll have some things to post about with his 54mm Boxer Rebellion Chinese. If not, I think some 40mm FIW might just fit in my bags... I'm sure Herself won't mind if we have a wee game.
Cheers; Eric

Good to hear from you Eric. I’ve also got a 54mm ACW project on the go using various manufacturers e.g. AIP, Italeri, Accurate, IMEX etc. There used to be loads of plastic figure sets available a few years ago but it seems to be increasingly difficult to get them now - the moral of that is, don’t put off your purchases, get them while they’re available!
