Wish I could make it over from the States, but we'll be moving around that time. Maybe for Year 2! Take lots of pictures.

Hi Mike,
Any news re the Convention (I suppose you can do without being pressurised by us punters!!!). I wondered if Woking has a Premier Inn? Just thought it might be a good idea to stay over on the Saturday night, especially if the group meal goes ahead.
Looking forward to the games day. Please let us know if you need us to bring anything with us (figures, mats, scenery).
Best Wishes Dave

I intended to start organising this week but have had flu since the new year and have spent most of time in bed... Feeling a little better today (now just at the weak and feeling beaten up stage).... I will get cracking next week. Mike

Sorry to hear you've been I'll Mike. Hope you feel much better soon.
As soon as you're well enough to post details and confirmation of details for the day, I'll book a room at the Premier Inn.
Many thanks in advance for all your work and effort into this great 54mm gaming opportunity.
Best Wishes Dave

I have updated the main posting with a list of proposed games - though I have a feeling I might have missed a couple.
My criteria for games is that they should:
- fit onto a 6 x 4 table (except the Funny Little Wars floor game) - be playable in 2 hours - not be too complex - involve 2-4 players.
I am keen that we don't end up with too many games as I have seen days organised where people set up lovely looking games and no-one plays them. Even if we have a setup where some games are played in the morning and we swap around and play different games in the afternoon.
For people coming and staying there is a Premier Inn, Travelodge and an a Hilton Doubletree. Don't stay at the Woking Hotel - someone was murdered there a while back and it has a bad reputation!
If enough people are interested in staying on and going for an evening meal, I will see what consensus is and book a restaurant for early evening.
I must stress that I am making this up as I go along, so if anyone else has bright ideas then please chip in!
thanks
Mike

Mike,
Thanks for all that you have done so far in organising things. I would be very happy to join you and others for an evening meal after the games.
Best wishes Anthony

Echoing Anthony's thanks Mike. Really looking forward to the day. Which of the 3 venues for staying is the nearest to the event location? I'll book a room for the Saturday night and would like to join in with the meal (if Anthony will let me, being a Royalist AND a Ricardian!!!!!).
Best Wishes Dave

Hi Dave,
Having met you in the flesh at the LTS I am supremely confident that your many virtues will more than outweigh the occasionally odd notion or two entertained by your good self:)
I can see we are going to have a splendid time on the 10th!
Best wishes Anthony
PS I am currently rebasing my 54mm Napoleonics according to Dirk's rules.

Hi Mike,
Hope not too many headaches with the planning for March 10th. When you post the final instructions/agenda, could you also give us the address and sat nav details for the venue please.
Really looking forward to the event. Not to panic you Mike, but only 6 weeks away!!!!
Best Wishes Dave

I have updated the first post with details of the day, venue, planned timings, etc.
We have had a few drop outs from attendees and games organisers but I am sure we can still have a fun day. It was always going to be a challenge getting the disparate 54mm gaming community to Woking, but I hope that even a small first event will eventually grow into something a little bit bigger...
If you have any questions then please let me know.

Thanks for the update Mike. Really looking forward to the day. Quite a drive down, but well worth it for meeting up and playing. Do you want us to register for a particular game(s) or will you sort that out on the day?
Best Wishes Dave
