Less than a week to go and fortunately it looks like it is only raining next week rather than snowing! I have asked for signs to the room to read "Little Wars Revisited Forum" so hopefully that'll happen (they had got it down as Black Hat Miniatures).
I am hoping to set out all the tables (with help from my wife) on the Friday afternoon as the room seems to be empty then so there shouldn't bee too much rush in the morning.
Hopefully the cough and cold I picked up at Cavalier will have cleared by then as well!

Looking forward to a great day this Saturday, meeting people, making new friends, learning more about 54mm gaming and enjoying the games. Thanks for arranging this Mike and hope you're feeling better.
Best Wishes Dave

I found the forum! Just an initial post to say how much I enjoyed myself today. Great games with great people. I've bought both Portable Wargame books on Kindle (for instant gratification) and I'm busy working out if I can combine them with the forces lists and options from Neil Thomas's 19th-century rules. Here are some photos of my game with Mike.

One can't help but smile with pleasure at pictures like that. One Hour Wargame Scenarios, the Portable Wargame and 54mm work very well together. I have done it straight up or fielding two PW units for each OHW unit on a bigger table. This link will take you to a couple of game reports of such 54mm games on my blog. gameofmonth.blogspot.ca/search/label/54mm%20ohw%20portable%20wargame(I also use my own Square Brigadier rules with OHW scenarios more often.) -Ross

Hi Alastair and Paul,
Glad you enjoyed the day! All the games seemed to go well and it was refreshing to see nothing but 54mm on the tables.
Paul and Ross,
Great photos!
Cheers Anthony

Just got home after a brilliant weekend. Great games and great new friends. It was well worth the 360 mile round trip and hope there will be more events like this in the future. As Anthony said, great to see just 54mm figures. Thanks for organising this event Mike and Anthony. If you missed this event, you missed a great day out and some great games and beautifully painted figures.
Best Wishes Dave
