You'd have to ask the makers 79pa. I take it you're in the States, so would be dealing with Felipe, so it's how much it would costly from Mexico

Are there any English stores selling the new HaT Austrians yet?. Can't seem to find any - only the US store mentioned earlier.
They're still down as future release on the HaT Industrie site

Hi, Well, my 1/32nd Austrians arrived today from our friend Rupert at Drum and Flag.
I have only word to say about them - disappointed!!!!!! The Prussians were very well detailed and really crisp castings, and these figures led me to start collecting 54mm SYW figures ( as if I don't have enough projects!@@@)
On first inspection, I have to say that the detail on the Austrians is not up to the standard of the Prussians. Is this because of the white colour of the plastic?
I don't think so. I've looked carefully, and would suggest that the plastic used is different to the Prussian figures. The detail on the uniforms and faces is what I can only describe as blurred.
I saw some of the test pieces that HaT produced and they seemed far superior to these figures. The right arms on somevof the figures are also rather thin.
Obviously this is my opinion but I would like to hear from others what they think.
Will the figures be more acceptable if I paint them? I don't think so, but will have to see.
So, regarding my collection. Prussians - definately Austrians - I don't think so at the moment. I think I may have to resort to collecting Austrians using the lovely 4d printed figures.

I had a similar reaction when I first opened the box but upon cutting them from the sprue came to realize that the milky plastic, when seen under normal room light, was making it difficult to see all the detail. The color is not a flat, opaque white. When you look at them more closely buttons, buckles, straps, hair and eye detail are all there.
All things considered they are an improvement on the Prussian sets. The Prussians got 12 poses while the Austrians have 17. The Austrians also have a longer "back heel up" stride which makes them look more energetic than the Prussians. When the Prussians were released there were many complaints about how inactive they looked. This time there are plenty of advancing and marching figures.
While the Prussian Command set has 15 figures the Austrian Command set has 18.
The hats fit better fit better than the Prussians and the heads of he pole-arms are completely molded. It would have been an advantage to have placed the foot officer's arm peg a little higher so that he could use the mounted officer's sword arms without adjustment of the shoulder.
Somewhere in the development process the color-bearer lost his sword scabbard so you will have to add one.
There are two figures with problems.
One of the marching Fusiliers has a right arm that is semi-round when viewed from the right side. He also has some fill-plastic on his left side between his hand and canteen. Both of these flaws can be corrected.
An advancing Grenadier does not have a proper hole on the arm in which to insert his right hand. A pin vise will correct this.

Thanks for the review of the figures rahway. I will have another look at the figures in light of your observations - maybe putting them together and priming them will make them look better.
The corrections you did to the figures - especially the thin right arms - did you remodel with Milliput?
What are you using for a horse gor the officer?

I am sure it will make a difference Dave. Give them a go and see how it goes.

Dave,
It is more like "going to use" since work is at a peak and I will not have time available until February. Yes, my intention is to use putty on the figure with the thin arm.
As these sets were nearing release I cast up some standing Prince August Empress Dragoon (1805) and walking Prussian Cuirassier (1756) horses. The Hat figure sabot the same size as the PA riders so this looks like it will work.
There are also possibilities in plastic. The officer's legs may have to be adjusted with hot water to fit some of the wider mounts. CTS sells clones of the old Marx cavalry horse and their own horses. AIP now sells bags of their horses. Ex-Force horses will also work. The poses of the Detail horses don't seem right foe this Austrian and TSSD horses are just too big.

Thanks for the info rahway. Always good to get other opinions.
Having done what Alan and others suggested I've put a unit together and primed and havecto agree that they look better than my first impressions indicated - although still not up to the Prussian standards.
So, a paint job will decide the future use of these figures!!! But that will be a while yet.
Thanks for the input guys
