A suggestion on your WIP reduced size General Veer conversion. Find a smaller head more in keeping with Obi Wans' size and either replace the huge feet or cut them down by one third of their present size. These differences should bring the scale down to closer to Obi Wan.
For me the width of the shoulders related to the size of the head is what looks too big, makes the conversion just a shorter officer in the same scale as Veers. The feet from the Imperial Officer standing with one arm behind his back would be a good size to use.
I do a lot of trial and error when creating a conversion I just go with what I think looks right. It's very subjective of course and we all have our methods Here is a downscaled Spanish Priest that I did, cutting down the robe was the easy part but it became quite apparent that the original head would be too big so I replaced it with another smaller one and cut down the length of the arms too. This was for my Napoleonic Pennisular war group but I suppose if I gave him a light sabre he would work as a Jedi !
It looks like you have made a copy of Veers with his arms still on. May I suggest that you remove any removable bits from the figures when copying it will make mould making easier. With The unleashed figures if you place the whole figure in a bowl of boiling water it goes soft like rubber so it is easy to carefully pop out any arms or heads with out damaging them giving you the separate pieces to cast. This also works for removing figures from the decorative bases. Hey Les yes thanks for the feedback they are good suggestions. The feet definitely need to be sorted out You're right about the shoulders they need to come in a bit so I'll have a go at that too. I'm wondering where that officer head on that other unleashed figure would work better Yes I did mould him in one go well spotted It was a quick and dirty mould but thanks for the suggestion to pull them apart I'll try that next time I love your spanish priest very convincing you've removed a huge amount of material but the proportions are bang on

Both AT-STs are MPC models. One on the right had some eye shutters and railing attached, one on the left is just painted and based. If the model were to scale, one human would be about as tall as the chicken walker's calf. These guys are about two heads taller and the cockpit would not likely fit a wookiee. I don't care.
very nice Ninja! Those at sts look great next to the SWC

Yep that is the model. I do not think it would fair very well in a sandbox lol. The pieces do not fit together well on their own and require superglue, sanding, epoxy, paint and whatever else you can throw at it to stay put. The newer Revell Snaptite models would probably be better for children. They even come with built in lights and sounds, hehe. www.amazon.com/Revell-Snaptite-Build-Play-Star/dp/B074RC713K

ok couple of pics before I'm away for a few days. First up are my imperial fleet troopers. A simple head swap on some Airfix ww2 russian figures plus a blaster and minimal sculpting. On balance the heads look a bit big on the body but I think I can live with it. My usual average paint job I plan to go back over these guys at some stage when I do more like this and add in a bit of highlighting

and last of all my re-revisited general veers officer I still haven't quite got it right he looks like a wider guy but I think I've done all I can at this stage. I left his head in place it's actually not much bigger than the obi-wan figure but I took a bit more off his boots and trimmed his shoulders in a bit. I'm going to paint him up at see what he looks like. I put him on a 1mm base instead of my usual 2mm so I've clawed back a bit more height Attachments:

ok so my 3d printed pieces arrived over the weekend. They are really nice the detail is awesome. I bought a selection of weapons plus some backpacks for an rebel commando conversion (yes I have too many projects) On balance I think I got the sizing right, roughly 1/30th scale should work out ok. I might have gone a bit far on the rebel rifles but I'm sure I can make them work.

The maker also threw in some extra bits and pieces. The macrobinoculars are great very nice detail very recognisable If anyone's interested in this guys stuff you can find a catalogue of his work on shapeways: www.shapeways.com/shops/panzer-vs-tanks-4But he mainly works through facebook: www.facebook.com/watch/?v=1998080960497477And he will resize any and all of his stuff to work with your figure conversions nice! Last of all here's my rough idea for a rebel commando. I'm using the airfix SAS as a base figure and adding a printed backpack and rifle. I'm going to sculpt a helmet on another head and clone it. And I'll be changing the troopers boots with ww2 US boots as the originals are strangely undersized.... The flak jacket of the figure I think will do for a rebel one and I'll be looking to add in some windbreaker style jackets aswell I managed to break one of the rifles already but I think they might be slightly oversized anyway Attachments:

I literally just use the Corps figures for Rebel troops of various stripes. Will post pics!
Any suggestions on historical sets to use for Guardians of the Whills (Baze, Chirrut, quasi-Asian Rogue One guys)? I was looking at Armies in Plastic Boxer Rebellion...

yes please pics would be good. I'd like to see where you are going with those Rogue One figures. Some of the rebels in R1 had GI helmets with a bit of dressing so that would make things a bit easier
