hey all here's my painting attempts of aducks wonderful upscaled figures. They were fun to paint lots of detail and made it easier for a rank amateur like myself I stuffed up the black brows of the stormtroopers. I tried using a marker to get a straight line but it didn't go well and the marker moved about too much. Yes I am blaming my tools. Anyhow they came up good enough for the table and are by far the best stormtroopers out there in 1/32 - 1/30. The imperial army troops are also very good very detailed and easy to paint. I went for the return of the jedi uniform colours or as close as I could get them more or less It was really neat receiving these in the post. as good as if not better than buying a box of figures from a company and it definitely is propelling me to a 3d printer

What green paint did you use for the Imperial Army troops' armor?
Also I've heard from reading online that white is a really hard color to get right when painting miniatures, but you seem to have nailed it with those stormtroopers, what method did you use?

Just a tamiya green, field grey I think. I've started mixing paints with citadel nuln oil for my washes rather than straight nuln oil which doesn't give a smooth wash aloen. I am a lazy painter or rather I don't put in alot of time with my painting. It's something I want to get better at. So for the stormtroopers I just used an acrylic white spray (semi-gloss) then a citadel contrast paint. Guns, holsters and eyes were done in greys and browns and blacks. I think they look better in person but it's so easy to buy figures and hard to keep ahead of the painting pile. I've got about 15 fantasy miniatures sitting in primer looking at me and some 40mm in the post gah! Must keep painting.

Hmm, I'm getting an error on that page (says it can't be shipped to the U.S.). I'm assuming it's the Nara stormtroopers from Japan? I have one of the sets of those and they're a little stiff but do add some nice variety to the SW:Command figs.
