Rebel commandos would seem a natural conversion fit for these.

Just a heads up to all that DISNEY+ channel started up on 12th November with the first ever episode of the new STAR WARS live action TV show 'The Mandolorian'. This is a streaming service so doesn't suit me but others might be happy to pay the $ 69.99 a year to get the channel. I'm hoping it will come out as a DVD series at some point. Anyway !
'The Mandolorian' follows the adventures of a Bounty Hunter and plays pretty must as a SciFi Western, it looks a if it starts on Tatooine or similar desert planet. Check out the official trailer available all over the internet for a glimpse of it. We see IG88 in fighting mode, Rogue One death troopers, Empire Stormtroopers, Scout Troopers with speeder bikes, characters riding dewbacks, and carbonite blocks being used. So everything is quite familiar although the storyline is set 5 years after 'The Return of the Jedi', so pitched between Episode 6 and 7 movies. TV Episode 2 will have Trandoshian mercenaries, like BOSSK.
Lego will be adding 'The Mandalorian' sets to their range shortly, possibly in time for Christmas , so look out for other toys related to this although don't be surprised if there is nothing made in our size
I've included some screen captures from the internet to give you the 'look' of the first episode. It has that 'Man with no name' feel to it

This kickstarter for Plastic Army Women should make it much easier to add some women to the battlefield once it releases. Any ideas on characters or units?
yeah they look great! I was thinking they would work well as rebel fleet troopers with a helmet swap. hmmm very tempting

Keep an eye on 3.75inch scale ships made by hasbro for the series and new film. Those are what will give us new content for the board.

So far no toys for 'The Mandalorian' in a smaller size than 3.75 inch. Here is a link to the JEDI NEWS blog www.jedinews.co.uk/collecting/articles/hasbro-press-images-2019-triple-force-friday-the-vintage-collection/showing some of the classic figures and vehicles to come. Just the one AT ST for 'The Mandalorian', although it is a smaller scale than suitable for 3.75 inch range so will work for 54mm ,however the price seems quite high but this is the nature of Star Wars collectables. There are also additions to the 6 inch series and few 1/6th scale ones to come next year. With the Episode 9 movie coming too some of the figures will be for that range. The way to add to our collections is to study the pics of the new figures and create them in our size by conversions. Some Storm troopers will just need a repaint. There are SITH TROOPERS in the new movie which are simply NEW ORDER TROOPERS in RED Armour

SPOILER ALERT!!!!! I have some pics of the NEW Characters for the STAR WARS 9 movie. Is anyone interested in seeing them before they see the movie, which comes out in the UK on Thursday. I don't want to spoil anyones' enjoyment of seeing new stuff on the big screen so thought I should check first before I post.

One of my favorite parts of Star Wars mech designs are the speeder bikes. There aren't many speeders in this scale, however there are the speeders from Deagostini and Disney Store die-cast vehicles. This new model from Aliexpress looks promising if it got the right paintjob. link

I bought the disney speeder bike thinking I had finally gotten a decent 1:32 scale vehicle. When I finally started to put a rider on it I realised it way too big. So I am reduced to severely chopping a scalextric bike (also 1:32 apparently) to get something that works in 1:32 or 1:30. Ninja can you repost that link please?

Hey all finally getting back to my Sw project. Here's a few figures I have been working on. I've made a bit of scatter terrain still got a long way to go First up some rebel troopers. all are converted to some degree and I have gone for a Rogue One style mainly. There are a couple that I've tried to make look more like endor troopers. The idea is that I can mix and match a bit. The donor figures are a mix of airfix, sw command, sw unleashed and a generic figure that became the mon cal 3 rebel operative types. The guy in the middle is a sculpt, the pilot a heavily converted unleashed figures. I'm not too happy with the paint jobs oh well move along! These are some old casting I made of the unleashed clone wars scout trooper reposed to be a imperial scout figure. I want to field a decent squad of these guys eventually

Love it! How'd you do the helmets on the Endor troopers? Thanks aduck. I used a matchbox british commando head ( liked the shape of the face), cut the top off the head and sculpted a helmet as best I could on top. I used apoxie sculpt because that's what I have I've made a mould or two so I can cast more up. I'm planning a bunch more of these guys so need the heads. Still amazes me that despite the 3 or so 1/32nd figure lines made in SW no -one has made a endor commando.....but I think the airfix sas figures are a pretty good proxy
